Dr. Arnold enjoys working in the partial hospital program because it allows more time and opportunities for her to develop a relationship with her patients and their families. Because of her love of teaching, she is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota, teaching medical students, residents, and child/adolescent psychiatry fellows. She also enjoys working as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team of clinicians because she believes that it is the best way to provide comprehensive care for patients.

Dr. Bernstein is a triple board physician (General Psychiatry, Child/Adol Psychiatry & Pediatrics) specializing in youth anxiety and mood disorders. She is a professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School as well as an award winning researcher with numerous publications. She will continue her work at the University of Minnesota while helping us expand our service capacity at PrairieCare in Edina.

Dr. Berryhill is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who joined PrairieCare in October 2014. She is currently seeing patients at Gerard Academy in Austin, MN. She grew up in Andover, MN then obtained her B.S. in Biology at LeTourneau University in Longview, TX. She went on to attend medical school at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, graduating in 2001. She then completed 3 years of general psychiatry training and an additional 2 years of child and adolescent training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN

Dr. Case has had a passion for working with children all her life. She completed her undergraduate training at Carleton College, medical school and psychiatry residency and fellowship training at the University of Minnesota and joined PrairieCare in 2009. She enjoys her role in PrairieCare’s partial hospital program since it allows enough time to really get to know her patients and their families well, while providing comprehensive psychiatric care with her treatment team of clinicians. She believes that the partial hospital setting enables her to care for the whole family system including the identified patient.

Dr. Cedermark specializes in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and has history treating a wide variety of patients in training at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Cedermark has expertise in complex mood disorders, anxiety disorders, emerging personality and psychotic disorders. He has expertise in working with medically complex patients. He is interested in understanding patients in the context of their families and social circumstances.


Justin Graham, MD

Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr. Justin Graham is originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He went to Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, then returned to his home state to complete medical school. After the completion of medical school at the University of South Dakota, Dr. Graham relocated to the Twin Cities to be close to his family. Dr. Graham completed residency in adult psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Dr. Harmandayan received her medical degree from the University of Toronto in 2006 and completed her Adult Psychiatry training at the Mayo Clinic. She completed a subsequent fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Mayo and joined the Minneapolis VA Health Care System in 2012. Dr. Harmandayan served as the Mental Health Medical Director for the VA’s outpatient clinics in southern Minnesota, and concurrently earned her MBA through the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.


Suzanne Jasberg, MD

Adult Interventional Psychiatrist, Co-Director of the Center for Neurotherapeutics

Dr. Jasberg was born and raised in the Twin Cities. She attended the University of Minnesota for undergraduate studies in Biochemistry and subsequently completed a medical degree at the University of Minnesota in 2010. She then completed a general psychiatry residency with a clinical fellowship in first episode psychosis. After graduation, Dr. Jasberg spent over two years as a fulltime faculty member, Medical Director of first episode psychosis program and Executive Director of the transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) program at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Joseph joined PrairieCare in 2012, where he provides care on the inpatient unit in Brooklyn Park. The hospital setting enables him to approach his practice with a multidisciplinary approach, allowing him to assess all aspects of the patient’s condition and develop treatment plans to address each patient’s individual needs. Dr. Joseph appreciates this setting and clinical approach, because it provides the opportunity to care for patients, in what is often their first contact with the mental health system. Originally from Minnesota, Dr. Joseph returns home from Omaha, Nebraska, after completing medical school at Creighton University’s School of medicine and residency and fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry with the Creighton University-University of Nebraska Medical Center Joint Psychiatry Training Program.

Following residency training in psychiatry and fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry Dr. Kerbeshian served as a medical officer in the United States Air Force for two years, after which he practiced general and child and adolescent psychiatry for thirty-two years in Grand Forks, ND, retiring from the Altru Health System in 2009. In that setting he had a number of clinical, teaching, and administrative roles and actively engaged in clinical research, primarily in the area of developmental neuropsychiatry.

Dr. Klapperich joined PrairieCare Medical Group in Edina in 2012. Originally from Aberdeen, South Dakota, he attended the University of South Dakota before graduating from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed psychiatric residency and child and adolescent psychiatric fellowship training at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Klapperich has provided care for children and adolescents in the Maple Grove and then Brooklyn Park inpatient programs.

Brent G. Nelson, MD

Dr. Nelson was born and raised in the Twin Cities. He attended the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a research focus in neuroscience and brain stimulation. During and post-college, he spent 9 years doing software development in manufacturing and the financial services industry. In 2006 he decided to go back to school and subsequently completed a medical degree at the University of Minnesota in 2011. He then completed a general psychiatry residency, along with a clinical research fellowship in neuromodulation. After graduation, he spent a year as a fulltime faculty member and as Executive Director of the transcranial magnetic stimulation program at the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis VA Medical Center.

Dr. Oberstar has had a passion for working with and helping children nearly all his life. Originally from Chisholm, Minnesota, he graduated with a BA in English and biology from Hamline University and later a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School. Following three years of general psychiatry training at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program in Boston, Dr. Oberstar returned to Minnesota to complete two years of fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Dr. Polley joined PrairieCare in 2015 and provides care in the Partial Hospitalization Program in Maple Grove. She is originally from Minnesota and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in child psychology from the University of Minnesota and the Institute of Child Development. She then went on to medical school at the University of Minnesota. She completed her adult psychiatry training in a joint program between Sheppard Pratt Hospital and the University of Maryland. Dr. Polley moved to Harvard Medical School to complete her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Puffer received his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2011 prior to completing his Adult Psychiatry residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Mayo Clinic in 2016. Dr. Puffer received numerous awards throughout training, including being recognized as the clinician most likely to better Psychiatry, the colleague of the year, for the best original paper written by a resident or fellow, and recognition of having unique potential for a career in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In addition, he is a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, recognizing the top 30% of Osteopathic medical students in academics and community service as well as a recipient of the COSGP T.O.U.C.H. Award in recognition of at least 100 hours of community service during medical school.

Dr. Qaadir originally hails from Ohio prior to moving to Chicago where she completed her high school, college, and medical school degrees. She has called Minnesota home since 2010, completing her residency and subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from Mayo Clinic Rochester. Dr. Richardson has been in private practice for the past 16 years, specializing in outpatient and acute inpatient psychiatric care. He is also on the faculty of the University of Minnesota Department of Psychiatry. In addition to his work at PrairieCare, Dr. Richardson also serves as the adult psychiatry service chief at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN.

Dr. Selmo is a board certified psychiatrist specializing in general adult psychiatry and has practiced psychiatry in the Twin Cities area for the past 15 years. Dr. Stein was raised in the Twin Cities area and is lifelong MN sports fan. After completing his Bachelor’s in science at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY he returned to MN to attend University of MN for medical school and once again cheer for the Gophers in person. In medical school his interest in the field of psychiatry deepened and he went on to complete a General Psychiatry residency and then a Child Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Williams is a board certified Psychiatrist who joined PrairieCare in 2009. His interests in Pervasive Developmental Disorders and Mental Retardation stem from his work in behavioral analysis at a developmental center prior to entering medical school. Working at PrairieCare has allowed Dr. Williams to continue to work with patients with these conditions as well as provide him the opportunity to treat the full spectrum of mental health issues. The treatment clinicians approach provided at PrairieCare is consistent with his beliefs in the necessity of considering the biological, psychological and social aspects of the child/adolescent and the family in treatment.

Dr. Young specializes in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and sees patients through the outpatient clinic in Edina. He evaluates and treats a wide range of diagnoses, and attempts to bring an integrative, holistic approach to treatment. After completing his undergraduate work at Georgetown University, Dr. Young worked as a mental health counselor on the West Coast for many years before graduating from Cornell Medical School.
