Dr. Bloomquist leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based programming for youth, families, and adults within the Integrated Health and Wellness Clinics, and consults similarly across PrairieCare. He also directs a psychology post-doctoral fellowship and delivers diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapy to youth and families. Dr. Bloomquist is concurrently a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota where he has accumulated over 25 years of experience as a service provider, supervisor, and researcher in children’s mental health.


Paul BagdadePaul Bagdade, PhD, LP

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Bagdade has worked as a Licensed Psychologist in the Twin Cities area since 2004. During that time, he has focused primarily on psychological assessment of adolescents and adults in a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including schools, medical clinics and, most recently, PrairieCare. Dr. Bagdade believes that psychological assessment can be an important asset to aid clinicians and patients with diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians has been a rewarding way to discuss the results of assessments and promote the most effective patient care. Dr. Bagdade also has a special interest in weight management and obesity related issues. In fact, outside of PrairieCare, he assesses individuals’ readiness for bariatric surgery from a psychosocial perspective.

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Gunderson is a Licensed Psychologist who has been practicing pediatric/clinical psychology independently since 2004. Over the years she has gravitated toward training and career opportunities that integrate her skills into medical practices, and enjoys collaborating with medical doctors and nurse practitioners in order to provide a clinicians approach to a child’s health and wellness. In addition, with her school psychology background she is interested in how children’s emotional and behavioral disorders play out in the schools as well as ways that parents and school personnel can collaborate to better support these children.

Dana Hoehn, PsyD, LP

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Hoehn is a Licensed Psychologist with a specialization in pediatric/clinical child psychology. Throughout her training and practice, she has sought and enjoyed opportunities to work within multidisciplinary settings. Dr. Hoehn believes this comprehensive approach to care helps to promote the child’s overall health and well-being.

 

Paula OkoraforPaula Okorafor, MA, LP

Licensed Psychologist

Paula is a Licensed Psychologist who has been serving children, adolescents and adults for over 25 years. She has worked in a variety of settings including residential treatment, outpatient clinics, court systems, hospitals, private practice and schools. Paula also provides Clinical and Administrative Supervision to clinicians in training, and to her staff at PrairieCare Edina.

 

Shawn O'LaughlinShawn O’Laughlin, PhD, LP

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. O’Laughlin joined PrairieCare in 2011, starting in the Edina Clinic. Before that he worked for nine years at PrairieCare’s “parent” organization, Prairie St. John’s in Fargo, ND. His clinical practice at Prairie St. John’s (PSJ) involved primarily individual & family therapy as well as psychological testing with adult inpatients, many of whom had both mental illnesses and chemical addictions. Currently Dr. O’Laughlin is engaged in the Edina Adult Intensive Outpatient Program, facilitating a process group, conducting family and individual therapy sessions, and performing some psychological testing. Dr. O’Laughlin also sees clinic outpatients for individual and family therapy and psychological assessment/testing.


Mike Richardson SmallMichael Richardson, MS, LP

Licensed Psychologist

Mike has worked as a Psychologist in private practice in the Twin Cities for the past thirty years. During that time he has conducted evaluations for local school districts, taken referrals from physicians, mental health professionals and parents as well as conducted independent evaluations for county and state programs. Mike works with patients of all ages and with a variety of conditions including: ADHD, Developmental Disabilities, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral issues, Autism Spectrum Disorders, substance abuse, head injury, mental illness and personality disorders. His assessments focus upon providing psychometric test results and diagnostics impressions that can be utilized to: clarify diagnoses, educate the patient and care providers, guide care and treatment, as well as to facilitate program planning. He works in collaboration with patients, parents, teachers, physicians, therapists, and others to formulate a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan.

Pediatric Neuropsychologist

Dr. Spicuzza earned her doctoral degree in educational psychology from the University of Minnesota. After completing her post-doctoral pediatric neuropsychology fellowship in 1996, she remained on staff at Children’s Hospitals for several years before moving into private practice. In 2009, she joined PrairieCare Medical Group, where she is a private contractor specializing in neurocognitive and diagnostic assessment of children and young adults. Through comprehensive testing and clinical interview, she aims to obtain a thorough understanding of a child’s unique cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning in order to inform intervention planning and help that child succeed. Dr. Spicuzza accepts referrals from neurology, psychiatry, and select primary care physicians.

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. S. Ristau specializes in pediatric/clinical child psychology. Licensed since 2004, she provides comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, consultation, and treatment guidance as part of her clinical practice. Her emphasis is upon empowering children and their families with effective mind-body-behavior tools by tapping into their natural capabilities in building a strong mental health foundation. The focus is upon self-care, coping and self-regulation strategies. She enjoys working within a clinical setting focused on integrative health.
