Dan comes to PrairieCare with several years experience working in diverse settings that include Residential, Outpatient, IRTS, and Managed Care. He has worked with adult and adolescent clients who struggle with substance use disorder, and mental illness. He also has experience collaborating with families in the treatment of substance use disorder. Dan strives to have the client realize an internal transformation that lends itself to their recovery from substance use disorder and/or mental illness through client-centered approaches such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Dan has a strong interest in health and fitness including running Marathons, Triathlons, and Cycling. He enjoys spending time with his significant other, dog, family, and friends. He also enjoys volunteerism and service work.
