Joe holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Corrections with a minor in Sociology as well as a Masters Degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Joe joined the PrairieCare team in 2014 as a Needs Assessment Counselor and started providing out-patient therapy in December 2015. He has been providing counseling and therapeutic services to individuals for more than 15 years. Joe’s professional experience includes work in residential treatment, foster and adoptive care settings, level 4 school programming and community based in-home services. He is currently working towards his independent clinical social work licensure.
Joe is authentic and genuine in his approach. He is empathic and has the ability to quickly build rapport with children and adults. Joe works from a person centered and strengths based perspective. He is passionate about supporting the discovery of personal strengths and abilities to encourage and nurture their own individual growth.
Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. They enjoy traveling and exploring new cities and towns together. Joe enjoys golfing and attending concerts with friends and family.
