Laura has worked in mental health and social services for over 20 years. Laura’s experience includes working with children, adolescents and adults doing needs assessments, case management and clinic psychotherapy. She also worked for many years within the criminal court system providing support and advocacy to victims of crime.
Laura is trained in psychodynamic theory and provides insight-oriented therapy. With her clients she processes the here and now and often reflect on past experiences to bring insight into current behavior and functioning. She works with the client’s strengths to encourage wellness and a deeper understanding about self. Laura has a kind, thoughtful, yet challenging, approach to therapy to nurture healing within the therapeutic relationship.
