Martha Anderson has been working with children and families for over 20 years in a variety of settings. She began her career in New York City, and then worked in rural Pennsylvania before returning to her home state of Minnesota. She joined Prairie Care in 2012 and loves working as a therapist in the Edina PHP. She prefers working from a strength based approach empowering children and their families to find solutions to the problems facing them. She strives to use creativity, compassion and humor in her work, and enjoys working collaboratively to solve problems associated with mental health symptoms. She is trained in a number of advanced techniques in trauma, and enjoys using her training and experience to mentor others in supervision. And she is excited to be working towards adding her dog Benny to the therapy team as a certified therapy dog.
In her free time, you can find her spending time with her husband and two daughters, camping, hiking, and gardening or out walking the dogs.
