Nikki has been at PrairieCare since 2011, working with children, adolescents and adults living with emotional, cognitive and behavioral difficulties. Nikki’s approach is client centered, trauma informed, and relationally-oriented. She uses a blend of therapeutic approaches to guide and facilitate an individual’s journey towards mental wellness. Nikki’s practice is informed by brain development and neurology, and uses Art Therapy, Adaptive Internal Relational (AIR) Network model and competency-based strategies. Nikki helps individuals, despite artistic ability, create meaning and gain insight, find relief from overwhelming emotions or trauma, resolve conflict and problems, enrich daily life, and achieve an increased sense of well-being.
Nikki is a proud wife, mom, and dog owner. She has been painting, drawing, knitting, photographing, sculpting and doodling since 1982.
