Phuong is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). She has been in the field of mental health since 2008. She comes to PrairieCare with experience working in diverse settings including: in-home skills with children and their families, Intensive Outpatient MI/CD (Mental Illness/Chemical Dependency), and Seriously Persistently Mentally Ill.
Phuong finds success in working with a client centered approach utilizing interventions and education including: CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative, Experiential, and Collaborative Therapy. She has a style of therapy that is warm, non‐judgmental, and collaborative.
She has a passion to help clients reach a deeper understanding of their struggles and help create awareness in their lives. Phuong believes we have many facets of ourselves that we have not discovered or are underutilized. Her belief is once these strengths are recognized and practiced, we can begin working towards our greater potential and begin the healing process.
In her spare time she enjoys cooking, baking, reading, writing, and sewing.
