Sarah has been providing mental health services in the Twin Cities area since 2009. Her most recent experience is providing school-based therapy services in a Minneapolis public school. Prior to that, Sarah worked in home-based and community-based settings, providing parenting and therapeutic services to families with children under the age of five.
As a play therapist, Sarah specializes in Experiential Play Therapy. At the core of her approach to working with children is the belief that they have within themselves the intuitive capacity to work towards their own healing. Her role as a play therapist is to facilitate the creation of a relationship and environment that will enhance and create space for healing and growth.
When not at work Sarah enjoys reading, walking around the lake with her dog, knitting, sitting in the sun with her cat, and cheering for the Minnesota Twins.
