Schools

PrairieCare works closely with local school districts to insure that patients in the Partial Hospital Program and Intensive Outpatient Program can keep their education on track. Most patients at PrairieCare receive treatment for 3-6 weeks at a time and then return to their home school once symptoms are stabilized. It is important that the staff at PrairieCare communicate closely with the staff at the patient's home school district throughout treatment. PrairieCare hosts a classroom at each site, which is managed by the local school districts.

Educational programming at the Edina PrairieCare location is provided by the child's home school district, or the Richfield Public Schools can provide educational services at the home district's request. If the service is provided by Richfield, the student's home school is asked to provide curriculum materials whenever possible in order to minimize disruption to the student's educational program.

If the service is provided by Richfield Schools, students are temporarily enrolled as Richfield students while they are attending PrairieCare. Their district of residence will be responsible for paying for school programming provided by Richfield. For questions related to tuition billing, contact Cindy Raynor at 612-798-6043.

Educational programming at the Woodbury PrairieCare location is provided by the child's home school district, or District #916 can provide educational services at the home district's request. If the service is provided by District #916, the student's home school is asked to provide curriculum materials whenever possible in order to minimize disruption to the student's educational program.

If the service is provided by District #916, students are temporarily enrolled as District #916 students while they are attending PrairieCare.
