Marilyn joined PrairieCare in 2016 and is delighted to work for the only stand-alone children’s mental health hospital in Minnesota! Marilyn has previous experience working in the utility industry as a resource planner for 20 years before changing careers. She felt called to work in mental health and addiction care and started doing so in 2004. Her experience includes 12 years of managing the office for mental health and addiction in a large inner city tertiary hospital that had an indigent population serving the homeless population as well as those living with dual diagnosis of mental illness and addictions. Seeing and working with this population daily has connected her to her purpose which is connecting people with the mental health programs and services they need to truly be successful in living with their mental illness. In her spare time Marilyn enjoys yoga, gardening, church, and cooking for her husband and their 4 children and son-in-law.

Nora began working with PrairieCare in 2014 as an executive assistant where she gained a unique experience to observe both the clinical and business sides of mental health care. With PrairieCare’s rapid growth, she was able to seamlessly transition into a graphic design role where she has spent most of her time. Most recently, Nora, joined the Community Relations team where she spends the majority of her outreach efforts at our Chaska site and the surrounding area. A graduate from Hamline University, Nora uses her past experiences and education to connect with professionals, community members, and other treatment facilities to raise awareness, provide resources and advocate for mental health. In her free time Nora enjoys traveling, graphic design, being active and spending time with her friends and family.
