Rochester Site Supervisor
Matthew Petersen, RN received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Winona State University in 2003. Matt was a nurse at Mayo Clinic for over 10 years. He worked on the inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry unit for 7 years and transferred to the Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Center when it opened in October of 2010. He was a member and co-chaired the Pro-Act committee, and was a primary educator of staff in the psychiatric and security departments of Mayo Clinic in terms of Managing Anxious and Aggressive clients. Matt has presented at two national conferences in Tucson, AZ, and Washington D.C about the importance of family involvement in the care of adolescents with chronic pain, and how to live your best life with chronic illness. Matt has been actively involved with research on outcomes for adolescent patients with chronic pain. In 2013, Matt accepted a position to be the site supervisor for the new Prairie Care Medical Group location in Rochester, MN.
