As a rapidly expanding freestanding psychiatric healthcare system, PrairieCare and PrairieCare Medical Group continue to explore options with psychiatrists interested in practice opportunities within our system.
PrairieCare, a physician owned psychiatric healthcare organization in the Minneapolis/ Saint Paul metropolitan area, is actively recruiting child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrists for all of our sites across Minnesota. Child/ Adolescent clinical duties may include treating youth in inpatient, partial hospital, intensive outpatient and clinic settings. Adult patients are served in intensive outpatient programs, and busy outpatient clinics with nursing, therapy, and social work support on site. Academic appointments on the adjunct faculty of the University of Minnesota Medical School are possible for interested candidates as well. These positions report to the Chief Medical Officer and require a board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry and an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Minnesota.
PrairieCare Medical Group boasts the region’s largest group of psychiatrists and is comprised of highly motivated clinicians, focusing on improving the mental health of our community. We offer competitive compensation and benefit packages along with the opportunity to practice in the area’s fastest growing psychiatric healthcare system. In addition, as a formal affiliate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, many of our psychiatrists are involved in providing training to and supervision of clinical trainees, including psychiatry residents and child and adolescent psychiatry fellows.
The Twin Cities metro area has approximately 3.5 million people, over thirty institutions of higher learning, an outstanding K-12 school system, multiple professional sports teams and a thriving fine arts community.
