Opportunities to Participate in Research:

PrairieCare has developed a research partnership with the University of Minnesota to contribute to knowledge that can help diagnose, treat, and prevent mental health conditions. The following research opportunities are currently available for individuals who qualify:

The Adolescent Depression Psychotherapy Study

This study, funded by the National Institutes of Health, aims to learn more about how two psychotherapy programs help treat adolescents’ symptoms of depression. Eligible adolescents (age 12-18) would participate in one of two psychotherapy programs:

    1. Interpersonal psychotherapy for depressed adolescents (IPT-A): IPT-A is an evidence-based treatment that focuses on reducing depressive symptoms by helping adolescents improve their interpersonal relationships and interactions.
    2. PrairieCare’s usual psychotherapy practices: Therapists will implement the therapy modalities that they usually use in their clinical practice.

If you are interested in learning more about participating in this study, please let the scheduling staff know.
