Licensure: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
In her work with adolescents and adults, Alexandra brings openness, warmth, and a desire to genuinely understand who people are and what matters to them. Tending towards an honest and authentic style, Alexandra believes therapy should be a place in which clients feel safe and accepted but also empowered to change what isn’t working for them. She draws from a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques, including mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Alexandra has extensive experience treating anger and aggression, addiction, serious and persistent mental illness, complex trauma, and interpersonal relationship issues. She has worked in residential, inpatient, and community-based settings, and has several years of experience working with both victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse, including children who have witnessed or experienced abuse in the home.
When she’s not working, Alexandra enjoys being outdoors with friends, family, and her two rescue dogs.
