Dr. Alice Gu is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of adults, adolescents, and children.

Dr. Gu joined PrairieCare in September of 2022 and has experience serving patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds, including treating patients on specialty units for acute needs. She has a particular interest in mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma, early psychosis, life transitions, and relationship conflicts. In addition, Dr. Gu is experienced in psychodynamic psychotherapy and caring for refugees, immigrants, and those in crises.

Dr. Gu approaches her patients as whole human beings, with the goal of providing a safe therapeutic space that will help them feel empowered to address their suffering and foster healthy emotional expression and self-awareness. She is committed to providing evidence-based care and collaborating with her patients’ specific needs, including medication and/or psychotherapy.

Outside of work, Dr. Gu enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
