April is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. April started working at PrairieCare in 2016 and since then has worked across the continuum of care for children and adolescents, including Inpatient, PHP, IOP, and outpatient. Prior to working at PrairieCare, April provided individual, group, and family therapy in various settings including day treatment, in-home, and group homes. April has experience providing diagnostic assessments, therapy, skills training, case management, and psychoeducation to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families.

April has been a Lead Therapist for the Healthy Emotions Program at PrairieCare since 2018 and specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. April aims to provide a safe, non-judgmental space and believes that therapy should be a collaborative process based on each patient’s individual needs and strengths.

In her free time, April enjoys being outside, traveling, art, music, animals, and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings.
