Cheryl is a Master’s level Mental Health Practitioner. Cheryl works primarily as an associate therapist providing Admission Diagnostic Assessments at PrairieCare. Cheryl focuses on helping community members obtain knowledge of resources within the community and the level of care most appropriate for each individual related to their current mental health symptoms.

Cheryl has been working in the mental health field for 9 years and joined PrairieCare in 2018. Cheryl has worked in several mental health settings including crisis stabilization, residential, outpatient, and inpatient at PrairieCare’s inpatient hospital. Cheryl believes the world is full of experiences, positive and negative, which influence who we are. Cheryl aligns strongly with the humanistic perspective of counseling and believes the client to be the expert on their own experience. Cheryl strives to provide a warm and nonjudgmental space to explore experiences deeper and foster growth. Cheryl is currently pursuing her LPCC and is under the supervision of Nic Brave at PrairieCare.

In her free time, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family, reading psychological thrillers, watching true crime documentaries, and playing with her miniature dachshund.
