Heather has worked in the mental health field in a variety of settings. During her undergraduate work, Heather worked in a residential treatment facility working with children and adolescents struggling with mental illness and behavioral concerns. During her time there, she learned the importance of empowering youth to acquire tools to transition back to home. While completing her Master’s Degree, Heather spent time providing therapy to adults through a non-profit that specialized in serving individuals who experienced trauma. Heather transitioned to adult case management where she learned about community resources, and what it means to help an individual take charge of their story. She came to PrairieCare to return to working with children and adolescents, where she worked in PrairieCare’s Partial Hospitalization Program as a social worker until recently transitioning to her current role as an Associate Therapist. Heather has experience in a variety of settings and holds interests in serving others and helping them restore their lives. She holds interests in DBT and Trauma Focused- CBT.

When not working, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering through an animal rescue, traveling, and decorating.
