Michelle is an associate therapist and lead of PrairieCare’s inpatient admission team. Michelle completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with research honors following her empirical study of the impact of advertisement on body image. Michelle holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has worked as a therapist and crisis focused interventionist since 2012. In her time since moving to Minnesota in 2016, Michelle has grown to have a special interest and appreciation for working with individuals experiencing depressive and anxious symptoms that arise out of identity exploration, identity dissatisfaction, family of origin disruption, and other threats to familial or parental attachment. Michelle has a particular comfortability working with suicidal thinking, self injurious behaviors, and eating challenges often associated with mood based challenges.

When not working alongside patients and colleagues Michelle enjoys hiking, kayaking, playing music, and honing her chess game. Michelle’s also an avid follower of many professional sports teams, a connoisseur of cold brew coffee, and a lover of all animals, with her cat Satsuma being her favorite.
