Dr. Puffer joined PrairieCare in 2016 and has experience providing evaluation, medical treatment, and psychotherapy in emergency, inpatient, IOP, PHP, and outpatient clinic settings. He has served as Medical Director of Child/Adolescent Services since 2020.

Dr. Puffer is committed to empowering patients and families to address mental health concerns in an evidence-based but individually tailored manner. He frequently works with residents and fellows from Mayo Clinic and other organizations who seek to further their education in a partial hospitalization setting. He is committed to caring for the local community and working to destigmatize the recognition and treatment of mental illness.

Outside of work, Dr. Puffer enjoys spending time with his family in the great outdoors.
