Clinical Nurse Practioner
Dr. Barger has been working in mental health since 2002 and received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Minnesota in May 2013. She has worked in inpatient, forensic and emergency psychiatry settings- most recently as a supervisor in the psychiatric emergency room in downtown Minneapolis. She began her mental health career at St. Peter Regional Treatment Center and has worked all over the United States in psychiatric-mental health services. She utilizes a solution-focused, individualized and personable approach to providing care.
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Brandler has worked in child and adolescent psychiatry since 2009 and received her doctorate degree in psychiatric mental health nursing from the University of Washington in 2015. She is board-certified to provide psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, medication management and psychotherapy for people of all ages, however, she specialized in working with children and adolescents with mood disorders and behavioral dysregulation.
Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatry
Susan has worked in the mental health field for over 25 years. She has a psychology degree from Hamline University, a nursing degree from Bethel University and attended graduate school at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She is licensed and certified to see adult mental health and psychiatric patients for therapy and medication management. She has worked in a variety of settings including state hospital, outpatient settings, nonprofit, and private hospital/clinic settings both inpatient and outpatient. She has worked with mentally ill and dangerous, addictions, detox and inpatient, dementia, geriatrics, eating disorders, crisis stabilization and severe and persistent mental illness.
Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Ms. Berg’s special interests include providing care from a holistic perspective, using an integrative approach blending conventional and complementary therapies; empowering children and adolescents to live healthy lifestyles; and enhancing self-regulation skills through use of biofeedback, self-hypnosis/mental imagery, and other relaxation techniques.
Clinical Nurse Specialist
Dr. LaBreche worked as a psychiatric nurse since 1997 with experience in community, correctional, and inpatient settings. She received advanced training at the University of Minnesota and ultimately her doctorate degree in 2007. She provides psychiatric evaluation and on-going medication management for a variety of patients. Dr. LaBreche chose to work within the mental health field because it is rewarding to individualize care and treat people with holistic perspective. She enjoys working in partnership with her patients to make the most out of their treatment and help them achieve their goals.
Family Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Originally from western Minnesota, Erica has worked as a psychiatric nurse since 2005. She has experience in a variety of public health, mental health, and chemical dependency settings, working with both child/adolescent and adult populations. Erica returned to graduate school in 2009 in order to pursue her goal of providing comprehensive, advanced care to her patients. As a PMHNP, Erica is educationally prepared to provide the full range of psychiatric services, including diagnostic assessments, medication management, and psychotherapy. She believes in an individualized, strength-based approach that focuses on maximizing abilities and promoting self-care.
