Sarah has been working in the mental health field since 2009. Her experiences in psychiatric nursing and case management include toddlers through geriatrics from inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization and residential settings.
Sarah prefers to work in a collaborative manner where both patient and provider can together find the best customized treatment for that individual’s needs.
While Sarah is trained to treat across the lifespan, she has found the adolescent/young adult age to be of special interest as this population unquestionably endures the many obstacles of growing up and finding one’s identity. She strives to assist them overcome personal barriers and become comfortable and content with themselves.
While always having a passion for women’s mental health, starting a family sparked a strong interest in perinatal mental health for Sarah. She spent much of her graduate research discovering the effects mental illness in the childbearing years can pose on both mother and family if left untreated. She feels strongly about raising awareness and offering support to this population.
Sarah devotes a lot of her time to being a mother of little ones. She has lived in Minneapolis since 2014, and often spends weekends uncovering all the adventures this area has to offer. She also enjoys traveling the U.S. and trying all kinds of new foods.
