Dr. Vance received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota. She then attended medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed a residency at the American University of the Caribbean and a fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis.

Dr. Vance has worked in a variety of psychiatric settings such as residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient care. She has experience working with eating disorders, including a specialty program as a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist at McCallum Place Center for Eating Disorders in Missouri.
