Dr. Gronstedt completed his medical degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences. He completed his residency in general psychiatry at Des Moines University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. His fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics was in child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Gronstedt currently works at PrairieCare’s Brooklyn Park Inpatient Hospital.
Dr. Gronstedt brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and consultation. He has teaching experience at both the University of Texas/Southwestern in Austin, TX, as well as the University of Minnesota Medical School. His clinical interests include pediatric psychiatric issues, especially mood and anxiety disorders.
Dr. Gronstedt enjoys treating patients in the acute care setting to help stabilize their symptoms when they are in crisis. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing piano, baking, and traveling.
