Hoa is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). Hoa has a history of working in harm-reduction services as a co-occurring disorders counselor. Hoa is involved in an ongoing research study at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, as a primary therapist. Hoa has extensive experience treating patients with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and is trained in Prolonged Exposure and EMDR.
Hoa utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy specific to the client’s individual presentation, in order to address their problems. Hoa supports clients using a person-centered approach. Hoa uses a variety of strategies to achieve insight in sessions including skills building, cognitive restructuring, and role-play.
Hoa enjoys running outdoors, trying new and exciting foods, and spending time with family and friends.
