Joe joined the PrairieCare team in 2014 as a Needs Assessment Counselor and started providing out-patient therapy in December 2015.  Joe holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Corrections with a minor in Sociology as well as a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University, Mankato. He has been providing counseling and therapeutic services to individuals for more than 15 years. Joe’s professional experience includes work in residential treatment, foster and adoptive care settings, level 4 school programming and community based in-home services.

Joe is authentic and genuine in his approach. He is empathic and has the ability to quickly build rapport with children and adults. Joe works from a person centered and strengths based perspective. He is passionate about supporting the discovery of personal strengths and abilities to encourage and nurture their own individual growth.  He brings these same passions and sincerity to his leadership role.

Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. They delight in traveling and exploring new cities and towns together.  He can frequently be found golfing or attending concerts with friends and family!
