Bachelor’s Degree: St. Cloud State University

Justin came to PrairieCare in the fall of 2022 after working as an outpatient therapist for four years, seeing clients aged six and up, while finding a particular interest and passion for working with those in late adolescence and early adulthood, couples as well as families. As an outpatient therapist, Justin has worked with patients who have struggled with anxiety, depression, anger, pornographic addictions, relationship problems, and work stress.

Justin brings a family systems approach to his sessions, examining how mental health struggles are affected by and impact the relationships around us. He invites family members to join patients in session to address those interpersonal dynamics. He also uses a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Narrative, Structural, and Solution-Focused approaches, as well as Christian counseling for those within the Christian faith.

Away from work, Justin enjoys watching and playing sports, hunting, fishing, hiking, traveling and running.
