Dr. Anwar is originally from northern Illinois where he grew up in the Chicago suburbs. He attended medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. He went on to complete his residency in Psychiatry and fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. At WashU he served as chief in his final year of training. Dr. Anwar has extensive experience in treating individuals of all ages in various clinical settings. He is passionate about helping individuals with mental illness across the lifespan. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, and is an avid Chicago sports fan.
