Amber has been providing mental health services in the Twin Cities area since 2006. She has worked in several different service areas including supporting families interfacing with the Child Protection System, SPMI Adults, DBT for Adults and Adolescents, Residential Treatment for Adolescents, private practice, and most recently in Foster Care and Adoption. Her experience spans both in home and in clinic settings.
Amber uses an eclectic therapeutic approach that leans heavily on Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and the use of a trauma informed and psychodynamic lens depending on her patients’ needs.
When not at PrairieCare Amber enjoys a position as an adjunct faculty at the St. Thomas Graduate School of Social Work, reading, and watching reality television.
