Annie Curtis, MS, LADC
Master’s Degree: Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN
Annie received her Master’s degree from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul in Co-occurring Disorder Counseling and gained experience working in group residential housing, residential and outpatient substance use treatment settings. She is currently the co-occurring intensive outpatient program therapist and individual therapist at Prairie Care Woodbury working with adults of all ages. Annie is a person centered therapist who believes that meeting you where you are in life is critical to being able to make and sustain positive change.
She uses a direct approach to address underlying issues that may have an impact on achieving goals. Annie is passionate about working with folks who struggle with trauma and the long terms effects of abuse. Addiction of all kinds, not just chemical, are of particular interest and Annie is also a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and combines many approaches to help clients achieve their goals and improve the quality of their lives, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, psychoeducation, solution focused therapy, and motivational interviewing.
In her spare time Annie enjoys spending time with her partner and young child, biking in the summer, and downhill skiing in the winter
