Beth is a Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the mental health and chemical dependency field for the past 14 years. Her specialty is adolescent co-occurring disorders (mental illness and chemical dependency). Beth brings to PrairieCare years of experience having worked in various settings such as outpatient and inpatient chemical dependency treatment programs as well as working 12 years with Mayo Clinic Health Systems as a clinical supervisor of four outpatient substance abuse treatment programs.
She is a skillful in individual, family and group psychotherapy and chemical dependency. Beth is also a trained Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. Her focus is working with adolescents with co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, anger, grief/loss, post-traumatic stress disorder and trauma issues. Typical modalities used throughout treatment include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength Based Approach, Family Systems, Psychoeducation, Solution Focused Therapy and Motivationally Interviewing.
Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. In her free time, Beth enjoys running, watching her children play sports, spending time at the lake and reading a good book.
