Licensure: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Chris has worked in the mental health field for over fifteen years, working with adults, families and adolescents, in both, clinic and community settings. Beyond the clinical session, Chris has experience with facilitating groups for adults in chemical health treatment, as well as facilitating groups with young people experiencing chemical health, anger, sexual identity and relationship issues.
Chris is trained in variety of treatment modalities and currently focuses all of his practice based on the model and theories of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). He finds that this treatment approach is very flexible, effective and seems to work best for the needs of his clients. He has a great passion in supporting clients in creating an understanding of the challenges they face and building up hope while creating solutions that bring about the changes they desire. He actively engages with clients in goal setting and progress monitoring and believes the client needs to be active throughout the change process. “I have been humbled by the number of people over the years who have allowed me to journey with them through difficult times and often reflect on the strength, hope and perseverance they discovered through their challenges”.
In his free-time, Chris enjoys being outside with his family, playing and writing music and doing home improvement projects.
