Claudia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with 18+ years of combined experience in the medical and clinical mental health field within USA and Mexico. She is fluent in English and Spanish. Her professional experience includes working with families and individuals of all ages including children, adolescents and adults with various mental health disorders including but not limited to anxiety, mood/depression, behavioral issues, postpartum depression, poor self-image and relationship issues.
Claudia’s clinical approach includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based, Family Systems, Psychoeducation and Solution-Focused therapies along with DBT practices. Claudia is a strong advocate for minorities and their cultural considerations in the healthcare system and in the community. She believes that a therapy process should be a fluid and collaborative relationship and encourages clients to actively participate in their therapeutic process.
Some of Claudia’s past professional volunteering activities includes working with families and patients affected by Cancer in Mexico and School Social Work-related activities in Belize.
Outside of spending time with her family, Claudia enjoys listening to music, gardening, taking walks, bike rides, and craft activities.
