Jody joined the PrairieCare team in 2013. She has been working with children, adolescents, adults, and families since 2002 in a variety of settings including: residential treatment, shelter, and educational settings. Jody is passionate about, and values her role in joining with children, adolescents, and their families to offer a comfortable and safe space for exploration of issues and to offer support, validation, direction, and education. Jody believes that children and adolescents are an important part of the family’s multifacitated system, but to truly effect lasting change all elements of the family system require attention and support to facilitate an improved quality of life. She is passionate about approaching each session from a client-centered viewpoint. Jody practices from strengths based approach and uses a variety of clinical models including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focuses Therapies, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
