Katie joined PrairieCare in the fall of 2015 working in the Partial Hospitalization Program as a Groups Therapist before transitioning to her current role as the Healthy Emotions Program Lead therapist in Brooklyn Park at the Medical Office Building. Prior to that, Katie worked as a therapist in day treatment and outpatient settings with adolescents and their families in Wisconsin.

Katie has advanced clinical training from the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association and has competed the PrairieCare mentorship program where she received Psychodynamic training from the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Institute.

Katie describes her therapeutic approach to healing as integrative with an emphasis on connection, self-empowerment, and growth. Katie draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions including art, writing, meditation, CBT, Positive Psychology, and Existentialism.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys going to yoga classes, trying new restaurants around the Twin Cities and spending time with her friends and family.
