Nicole joined PrairieCare in January 2011 when the Maple Grove hospital opened working with children, adolescents and families in the Needs Assessment Department. Over 3 years ago Nicole transitioned to the Woodbury Site completing Needs Assessment for adults and has been working in the Intensive Outpatient Program. She has been involved in crisis interventions, after care psychotherapy groups, facilitating psycho-educational groups in the Intensive Outpatient Program, as well as taking on supervisory administrative duties as needed. Nicole’s stance is, the patient is the expert in their lives, and her intention is to build a safe, respectful atmosphere so her patients can explore their major challenges, learn coping skills, and build on their strengths. “It is an honor to be present with patients on this journey to help understand their way through difficult times.”
Nicole’s therapeutic approach integrates cognitive behavioral techniques, psycho-educational, psychodynamic and solution focused strategies.
Nicole enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, attending concerts and movies. Nicole also enjoys yoga and running.
