Omkar Sawardekar, MSW, LGSW, brings a holistic lens to his clinical practice. In addition to being a therapist at PrairieCare’s inpatient hospital facility for children and adolescents, Omkar is a therapy fellow at RECLAIM, an organization that serves LGBTQ youth. Previously, Omkar worked as a case manager for those diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness and has a background in technology, business, fundraising and non-profit work.

Driven by the tenets that healthy relationships are central to healing and that the best clinical practices grow from interdisciplinary methodologies, Omkar is committed to the collaboration between and integration of interdisciplinary approaches to provide a supportive and healing environment to patients. Omkar draws from cognitive-behavioral, trauma focused, narrative and somatic approaches.

Omkar enjoys practicing mindfulness is enthusiastic about collecting fountain pens. Omkar shares his home with his two cats: Gusbarr and Pumpkin.
