Sandi is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 20-years experience working with children/adolescents and their families. Sandi started as a therapist when PrairieCare’s Rochester site opened and now serves as the Rochester Clinical Supervisor. Prior to taking on the Rochester Clinical Supervisor role in July of 2021, Sandi served as the Lead Therapist in Rochester while also acting as the Interim Site Supervisor in Mankato for a year and a half, and as the Rochester Site Supervisor for over six months.
She has previously worked as a therapist in a residential setting, an outpatient clinic, and in co-located services within a high school. Her treatment philosophy is to provide a safe environment that offers support and encouragement, while also providing useful tools and strategies, that clients can use to persevere through their struggles. Sandi believes in the resiliency of children and adolescents and believes the support system and family system as a whole is critical in the care and treatment of the client. Sandi has worked as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and places a great deal of importance on collaborating and communicating with all members of the treatment team including the client, caregivers, social workers, and professional staff.
When not working, Sandi likes to spend time with her family watching movies and playing volleyball together. She also loves to complete house projects and travel, traveling throughout the Caribbean and Europe.
