PrairieCare, in collaboration with Sanford, Essentia, and Mayo Clinic will launch a DHS supported program that will allow statewide consultative access to child psychiatrists. Our colleague and friend Dr. Peter Jensen (Mayo Clinic) was interviewed along with Lucinda Jesson, the DHS Commissioner to talk about the project:

Almanac Too Many Psychiatric Meds for Juveniles? Original Broadcast Date: 6/15/2012 Later this summer Minnesota will begin requiring doctors in many cases to use a consulting service before prescribing psychiatric medications for adolescents. Human Services Commissioner Lucinda Jesson and Dr. Peter Jensen from the Mayo Clinic explained the program.
