Healthy Emotions Program

The Healthy Emotions Program (HEP) is an intensive outpatient program for adolescents who are in need of assistance with managing and coping with their emotions. This treatment program will focus on emotional management skill-building and social support. Appropriate patients for this program may present with symptoms of depressed mood, stress, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or other related symptoms. Patients in the Healthy Emotions Program attend their regular school during the day and come to treatment in the afternoon.

  • Monday – Thursday
  • 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Length of stay

  • 6 week program

Adolescents that could benefit from this program may:
  • Struggle with mood, presenting as sad, depressed or anxious
  • Have difficulty attending to school tasks consistently
  • Struggle with limits and boundaries around relationships
  • Demonstrate sadness, irritability, hopelessness, or withdrawal and isolation
  • Show little to no improvement in symptoms after attempts in individual or family therapy

  • Psychiatric Technicians
Treatment is provided through the following ways:
  • Teen Skills
  • Mindfulness
  • Psychological Education
  • Parent Skills Group
